Support | S.O.S. (Survivors of Suicide)
When you have experienced the death of a family member or loved one by suicide you can feel overwhelmed, desperately sad, lonely, angry, confused, guilty and somehow responsible. You may also discover that friends, co-workers and other family members don’t always know what to say or how to be supportive and comforting. We know that the bereavement associated with a suicide death is different than other deaths; there is the suddenness of the death and there is often no easy – or clear – explanation as to why suicide was seen as a choice.

Shift is offered on Monday nights in conjunction with GriefShare, our ministry for adults over 18 who are dealing with the loss of a loved one. The class will be held from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Cost= $10

Good Boundaries and Goodbyes: Loving Others Without Losing the Best of Who You Are
By Lysa TerKeurst
Relationships are wonderful ... until they’re not.
Is it unloving or selfish to set a boundary? And what does the Bible instruct us to do when a relationship is no longer safe or sustainable? Lysa TerKeurst deeply understands these hard questions in the midst of relational struggles. But after thousands of hours of counseling intensives and extensive theological research that transformed the way she defines healthy relationships, Lysa is now more committed than ever to loving people well without losing the best of who she is. She wants to help you do the same.
Building upon and further unpacking the scriptural concepts in Good Boundaries and Goodbyes, this six-session Bible study with Lysa will equip you to:
-Determine the appropriate amount of personal and emotional access someone has to you.
-Stop being misled and emotionally paralyzed by wrongly interpreted or weaponized scriptures.
-Overcome the frustrating cycle of ineffective boundary-setting with biblical principles and practical strategies to help you communicate, keep, and implement healthier patterns.
-Be equipped to say goodbye when a relationship has shifted from difficult to destructive and is no longer sustainable by studying 3 types of goodbyes found in God’s Word.
You can purchase the book and study on Amazon or from www.p31bookstore.com.
